KENT NEWS: Police have appealed for witnesses after a mass brawl kicked off during a private function at a working men’s club and spilled out on to the street outside.

About 50 people were involved in the fight at High Brooms Working Men’s Club on Friday, February 5, which started at around 11.30pm.

Police received several calls from concerned members of the public and officers were forced to use their incapacitant sprays to subdue offenders and make arrests.

Seven men, aged between 18 and 49, were arrested on suspicion of committing public order offences.

Five of them were later released on police bail to allow for further investigation, while two were given fixed penalty notices.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about it is asked to contact police on 01732 379217, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or to email appeals.westkent@kent.pnn.police.uk
