KENT NEWS: A shop window was smashed and a quantity of watches have been grabbed from a jewellers in Tunbridge Wells.

Police have appealed for witnesses after the robbery at Goldsmith’s in the town’s High Street shortly before 10.30am on Tuesday (March 9).

Officers said they would like information about a silver Mercedes Viano people carrier which was abandoned in Claremont Gardens shortly after the robbery and a blue BMW car, which is thought to have been used by people involved in the incident to leave the area.

The shop is being examined for forensic evidence and the abandoned vehicle will be recovered to allow it to be forensically searched.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
